Prohibited & Restricted Items

Introduction

For the safety of our employees, partners, and the public—and to comply with federal, state, and international regulations—Tranzera Logistics does not accept certain items for shipment. The categories below list items that are prohibited or restricted. Shipping prohibited items may result in seizure, destruction, account termination, and potential legal action. When in doubt, contact us before shipping.

Explosives & Flammable Materials

• Fireworks, flares, and pyrotechnics
• Ammunition and gunpowder
• Gasoline, lighter fluid, and fuel additives
• Matches in bulk (strike-anywhere matches)
• Compressed gases (propane, butane, acetylene)
• Paint thinner, turpentine, and other flammable liquids

Hazardous & Toxic Substances

• Poisons, pesticides, and herbicides
• Radioactive materials
• Asbestos and other carcinogens
• Mercury and mercury-containing devices
• Biological specimens (unless certified and properly packaged)
• Infectious substances and pathogens

Drugs & Controlled Substances

• Illegal narcotics and controlled substances
• Prescription drugs (without proper licensure)
• Cannabis and CBD products (regardless of state law)
• Drug paraphernalia
• Synthetic drugs and designer substances

Weapons & Ammunition

• Firearms and firearm parts
• Replica weapons that resemble real firearms
• Switchblades, brass knuckles, and martial arts weapons
• Tasers and stun guns (unless shipped via licensed carrier)
• Explosive devices and components

Currency & Financial Instruments

• Cash and currency (any amount)
• Bearer bonds and negotiable instruments
• Unset precious stones (diamonds, etc.)
• Cryptocurrency hardware wallets valued over $5,000
• Traveler's checks and money orders (restricted)

Lithium Batteries (Standalone)

• Loose lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries
• Damaged, recalled, or defective batteries
• Batteries not installed in devices (with limited exceptions)
• Note: Devices WITH batteries are OK with proper packaging and restrictions

Alcohol & Tobacco

• Alcohol (domestic shipping only, requires licensed shipper)
• Tobacco products (restricted quantities, proper labeling required)
• E-cigarettes and vaping devices (restricted by destination)

Animals & Perishables

• Live animals (except as permitted under special programs)
• Animal remains (contact specialist for cremains)
• Perishable food without proper packaging and labeling
• Plants and seeds (restricted by destination)

Counterfeit Goods

• Fake designer items and replicas
• Pirated media (DVDs, software, etc.)
• Counterfeit documents and identification
• Goods infringing on trademarks or copyrights

Other Restricted Items

• Lottery tickets and gambling devices
• Human remains (contact specialist services)
• Wet ice (dry ice OK with UN3373 labeling, max 5kg)
• Strong magnetic materials (may interfere with aircraft)
• Items prohibited by destination country laws

Restricted but Shippable

The following items can be shipped with special handling, packaging, or documentation. Contact us or visit our specialized shipping services for guidance.

• Lithium batteries inside devices— With proper packaging and watt-hour limits
• Dry ice— UN3373 labeling required, max 5kg per package
• Perfume and cologne— Limited quantities, ORM-D labeled
• Alcohol— Licensed shippers only, domestic
• Medical specimens— UN3373 certified packaging required
